Cheers! There’s plenty of beer flowing in the five boroughs, so I usually steer away from outside brewery events. However, one of my favorite international breweries is touring in NYC this weekend and they’re 100% worth checking out. Japas Cervejaria is a Japanese-Brazilian woman-owned brewery and they do alchemical things with beer and flavor. Highly recommend making a stop at one of their events this weekend and trying every beer you can (Especially Oishii, Taikyaki, Black Miso if they have it). You’ll thank me! Scheduled stops:
Tomorrow night, they’re hosting a Tap Takeover at The Jeffrey Craft Beer & Bites, so I’ll be there for dinner and drinks, obviously.
Friday, Meet the Brewers for Happy Hour at Kimura (31 St Marks Pl, New York, NY 10003) from 5:30 to 8 p.m.
Saturday stop by Izakaya Juraku for a Japas Brunch(121 Ludlow St, New York, NY 10002) from 12 to 5 p.m.
Also Saturday, Meet the Brewers at Flatiron Restaurant in Park Slope (397 5th Ave. Brooklyn, NY 11215) from 5 to 8 p.m.
The Pour is new and growing. Please tell your beer loving friends and NYC brewery peeps to sign up. Send feedback sideshowsips@gmail.com.
